Q&A: Investing the Navellier Growth Way

07.19.08: Hi Louis, I'm worried about being too heavily invested in the oil sector. I'm reading all these articles of the oil bubble about to burst! What is your take on all this?

There is no doubt that crude oil prices could fall slightly after Labor Day when demand in the U.S. and other major oil users decline for seasonal reasons. However, that is also when hurricane season heats up, so we have to watch The Weather Channel to see if there will be any hurricanes bearing down on the energy facilities and offshore platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. But even if there is a small decline in prices, I do not expect a "bubble" for crude oil to burst. Mexico, Norway, Russia, Venezuela and other major oil producing countries are producing less oil. Our oil-related companies will likely continue to post record earnings as they seek to expand supply, so please do not worry. There is no quick fix to this crude oil crunch, and we'll continue to profit!
