This segment serves light vehicle OEMs, commercial vehicle OEMs, and Tier 1 suppliers to the automotive OEMs, including automotive seat manufacturers, as well as telecommunication, information technology, furniture, and medical equipment industries. The Industrial segment develops thermoelectric generators for applications in natural gas well and pipeline protection systems, and remote power generation for instrumentation, automation, and telecommunication systems. The company was formerly known as Amerigon Incorporated and changed its name to Gentherm Incorporated in September 2012. Gentherm Incorporated was founded in 1968 and is headquartered in Northville, Michigan.
