Allegiant Travel Company, through its subsidiaries, operates as a leisure travel company in the United States. It provides scheduled air transportation on limited frequency nonstop flights between small city markets and leisure destinations, such as Las Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Los Angeles, and Ft. Lauderdale. The company also provides air-related travel services and products, including use of its Website for purchases, use of its call center for purchases, advance seat assignment, baggage fees, priority boarding, travel protection product, change fees, food and beverage purchases, and on board and other air-related services. In addition, it offers third party travel products, such as hotel rooms, ground transportation, and attractions. As of February 1, 2012, the company offered scheduled services from 64 small cities on 168 routes primarily into 11 leisure destinations and operated a fleet of 56 MD-80 aircrafts and 1 Boeing 757-200 aircraft, as well as owned and leased 3 Boeing 757-200 aircrafts. Further, it provides air transportation through fixed fee agreements and charter service on a seasonal and ad-hoc basis. Allegiant Travel Company was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada.
