Actuant Corporation designs, manufactures, and distributes industrial products and systems worldwide. The company’s Industrial segment provides hydraulic tools, heavy lifting solutions, work holding solutions, and concrete stressing products to the maintenance, industrial, infrastructure, and production automation markets. Its Energy segment offers joint integrity products, which consist of hydraulic torque wrenches, bolt tensioners, and portable machining equipment; and umbilical, rope, and cable solutions to the oil and gas, power generation, and energy markets. The company’s Electrical segment provides electrical products, such as wire strippers, electrical meters, connectors, terminals, cable ties, staples, and conduit bending equipment; and power transformation products comprising low voltage, single-phase dry type transformers and toroidal transformers, as well as high voltage switches to the retail do-it-yourself, wholesale, original equipment manufacturer (OEM), solar, utility, marine, and other harsh environment markets. This segment also offers batteries, generators, battery chargers, inverters, display panels, wiring, and integrated systems. Its Engineered Solutions segment provides actuation systems, mechanical power transmission products, engine air flow management solutions, and rugged electronic instrumentation in various highway vehicle markets; engineered drive train components and systems for agricultural, lawn and turf, and industrial markets; custom designed flexible shafts, push pull cable assemblies, and custom steel cable assemblies for construction, aerospace, material handling, and security markets; and electronic solutions for user-machine interaction, vehicle control, and mobile connectivity. The company markets its products through manufacturers’ representatives, wholesale distributors, and direct sales personnel. Actuant Corporation was founded in 1910 and is headquartered in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
