Craft Brew Alliance, Inc. engages in brewing, marketing, and selling craft beers under the Widmer Brothers, Redhook, and Kona brand names in the United States. The company markets its beers directly to consumers in draft and bottles at restaurants, bars, and liquor stores, as well as in bottles at supermarkets, warehouse clubs, convenience stores, and drug stores. It also operates five pubs; and sells merchandise, including apparel and memorabilia at its brew pubs and breweries. The company was formerly known as Craft Brewers Alliance, Inc. and changed its name to Craft Brew Alliance, Inc. in January 2012. Craft Brew Alliance, Inc. was founded in 1981 and is headquartered in Portland, Oregon.
