Capital Senior Living Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, operates senior living communities in the United States. The company provides senior living services to the elderly comprising independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and home care services. Its independent living services include daily meals, transportation, social and recreational activities, laundry, housekeeping, and staffing; access to health screenings, such as blood pressure checks; periodic special services, including influenza inoculations; dietary and similar programs; and ongoing exercise and fitness classes. The company’s assisted living services consist of ambulation, bathing, dressing, eating, grooming, personal hygiene, and monitoring or assistance with medications; meals, assistance with social and recreational activities, laundry, general housekeeping, maintenance, and transportation services; and extra transportation, personal maintenance, and extra laundry services, as well as special care services, such as services for residents with certain forms of dementia. It also provides continuing care retirement community services, such as long-term care, physical, occupational, speech, and medical social services. As of March 7, 2012, the company operated 85 senior living communities with an aggregate capacity of approximately 12,000 residents.
