Its on-demand technology-enabled software solutions help streamline and automate the process of originating and funding new mortgage loans facilitating regulatory compliance and reducing documentation errors. Mortgage originators use Encompass as a single tool for loan processing, marketing, and customer communication, as well as to interact electronically with lenders, investors, and service providers over the Ellie Mae Network. The company also offers Ellie Mae Network, which electronically connects mortgage professionals to the mortgage lenders, investors, and service providers integral to the origination and funding of residential mortgages. In addition, it offers Encompass services, which comprise Encompass Closer, a document preparation solution that electronically generates the documents a borrower must receive and sign prior to the funding of a loan; CenterWise, a bundled offering of electronic document management and Websites used for customer relationship management; Encompass Compliance Service that analyzes mortgage loan data for compliance with consumer protection laws and institutionally mandated compliance policies; and Encompass Product and Pricing Service, which allows the users to compare loans offered by different lenders and investors to determine the product and price available to a particular borrower. The company offers its products through a direct sales force. Ellie Mae, Inc. was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Pleasanton, California.
