It also licenses its trademarks, characters, and other property rights to third parties for use in connection with digital gaming, consumer promotions, and for sale of non-competing toys and games, and non-toy products. In addition, the company is involved in the provision of lifestyle licensing, digital gaming, movie, and television and online entertainment operations. Further, it produces and distributes television programming to broadcasters. The company markets its products to wholesalers, distributors, chain stores, discount stores, mail order houses, catalog stores, department stores, and other traditional retailers, and Internet-based e-tailers. It has strategic partnership with Electronic Arts, Inc. (EA), which provides EA with the worldwide rights to create digital games for various platforms, such as mobile phones, personal computers, and gaming consoles consoles; and a strategic partnership with Activision, Majesco, Net Dragon, Jagex, and Perfect World to develop digital games and applications. The company was founded in 1923 and is headquartered in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
