This segment also provides investment banking services comprising direct placements, private equity, private placements, initial public offerings, and follow-on offerings of equity and equity-linked convertible securities; debt financing for companies, governmental entities, and financial sponsors; and mergers and acquisitions, recapitalization and restructuring, and other financial advisory services. The Asset Management segment offers investment management services to private investment funds, separate accounts, and mutual funds. Its primary asset management programs include commodity asset management strategies, strategic investment programs, and convertible bond strategies.
