Perfumania Holdings, Inc., through its subsidiaries, operates as an integrated wholesale distributor and specialty retailer of perfumes and fragrances in the United States. It operates in two segments, Wholesale and Retail. The Wholesale segment distributes designer fragrances to mass market retailers, drug and other chain stores, retail wholesale clubs, traditional wholesalers, and other distributors. This segment also owns and licenses designer and other fragrance brands; and manufactures bath and body products under the Jerome Privee brand name for sale in its retail stores. The Retail segment sells approximately 2,000 brand name and designer fragrance items for men, women, and children. As of January 28, 2012, it operated a chain of 344 Perfumania retail stores specializing in the sale of fragrances and related products at discounted prices. This segment also sells fragrances in retail stores on a consignment basis; and engages in the online retail of fragrances and other specialty items through Perfumania.com. Perfumania Holdings, Inc. is based in Bellport, New York.
