The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. operates as a diversified financial services company in the United States and internationally. The company’s Retail Banking segment provides deposit, lending, brokerage, investment management, and cash management services. Its Corporate and Institutional Banking segment offers lending products, such as secured and unsecured loans, letters of credit, and equipment leases; treasury management services, including cash and investment management, receivables management, disbursement and funds transfer, information reporting, and trade services; capital markets-related products and services; and commercial loan servicing, technology solutions, and real estate advisory services. The company’s Asset Management Group segment offers wealth management products and services, such as financial and retirement planning, customized investment management, private banking, tailored credit solutions, and trust management and administration services; and institutional asset management services. Its Residential Mortgage Banking segment provides residential mortgage loans; and Non-Strategic Assets Portfolio segment offers commercial residential development loans, cross-border leases, consumer brokered home equity loans, retail and non-prime mortgages, and residential construction loans. The company’s BlackRock segment offers investment management; market risk management, financial markets advisory, and enterprise investment system; and financial markets advisory services. The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. serves corporations, government and not-for-profit entities, middle-market companies, and institutional and retail clients through its branch network, call centers, and online banking channels. As of December 31, 2011, it operated a network of 2,511 branches and 6,806 automatic teller machines in Washington, D.C., as well as in the 14 states of the United States. The company was founded in 1922 and is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
