Company Profile
Signature Bank, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the provision of business and personal banking products and services. It offers various deposit products, including commercial checking accounts, money market accounts, escrow deposit accounts, lockbox accounts, cash concentration accounts, certificates of deposit, and other cash management products, as well as NOW, time deposits, and interest-bearing and non-interest-bearing checking accounts. The company also provides various loans comprising commercial and industrial loans; real estate loans, such as loans secured by commercial and residential properties, and temporary financing for commercial and residential properties; letters of credit; and personal lines of credit and loans to acquire personal assets. In addition, it offers investment and asset management products and services consisting of various individual securities, such as equities, options, fixed income securities, mutual funds, and annuities, as well as individual retirement accounts and administrative services for retirement vehicles, such as pension, profit sharing, and 401(k) plans to its clients. Further, the company purchases, securitizes, and sells small business administration loans and pools; and provides a range of individual and group insurance products, including health, life, disability, and long-term care insurance products as an agent. It serves real estate owners/operators, real estate management companies, law firms, accounting firms, entertainment business managers, medical professionals, retail establishments, money management firms, and not-for-profit philanthropic organizations. As of December 31, 2011, the company operated 25 private client offices in the New York metropolitan area. Signature Bank was founded in 2001 and is based in New York, New York.
