The company also develops, produces, acquires, and distributes entertainment content to consumers on DVD, digital formats, and traditional television in the United States and internationally; and produces animated TV and movie content for studios, networks, distributors, and audiences worldwide. In addition, it distributes movies, televisions series, documentaries, children's programming, and other video content, as well as digital and on-demand content; programs and supports ad-supported broadband channels; and develops games, applications, and other related content. The company was formerly known as Liberty Media Corporation and changed its name to Starz in January 2013. Starz is based in Englewood, Colorado.
