TC PipeLines, LP transports natural gas to market hubs and consuming markets primarily in the western and midwestern United States, and central Canada. The company owns a 46.45% general partner interest in Great Lakes Gas Transmission Limited Partnership, which owns a 2,115-mile pipeline that transports natural gas to Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and eastern Canada; and a 50% general partner interest in Northern Border Pipeline Company, which owns a 1,407-mile U.S. interstate pipeline system that transports natural gas from the Montana-Saskatchewan border to the Midwestern U.S. It also owns 100% interests in North Baja Pipeline, LLC that owns an 86-mile U.S. interstate pipeline system, which transports natural gas between an interconnection with El Paso Natural Gas Company pipeline near Ehrenberg, Arizona and an interconnection near Ogilby, California on the California/Mexico border with the Gasoducto Rosarito natural gas pipeline system; and Tuscarora Gas Transmission Company that owns a 305-mile U.S. interstate pipeline system, which transports natural gas from Oregon to a terminus in northern Nevada. TC PipeLines GP, Inc. serves as the general partner of the company. The company was founded in 1998 and is based in Omaha, Nebraska.
