Q&A: Investing the Navellier Growth Way

I know that you recommend a wide diversification with around a 30 to 40 stocks in your Emerging Growth portfolio, but what if I decide to concentrate on your top ten picks only?

If you decided to only concentrate on the Top 10 stocks, youwould make more money, but also incur much more risk.  I highlight the Top 10 so that you can get off to a strong start and hopefully make these stocks “must buys.”  In 2007, the Top 10 Emerging Growth stocks rose over 20%, while according to The Hulbert Financial Digest, the entire Buy List was up 7.8%.  The Top 10 stocks are my highest ranked A-rated stocks in PortfolioGrader Pro, but there are actually 42 A-rated stocks on the Emerging Growth Buy List.  I would recommend that you buy at least 30 A-rated stocks if you want to cherry-pick the strong stocks from the Emerging Growth Buy List, which should help boost your returns without incurring excessive risk.  Please remember to follow my recommended 60% Conservative, 30% Moderately Aggressive, and 10% Aggressive mix to further control risk.
