Q&A: Investing the Navellier Growth Way

Assuming that I stay properly diversified, do you recommend selling a “hold” or “buy” stock in order to have the funds to buy a “strong buy” stock?  Thanks.

This is a great question.  The Top 5 stocks and other A-graded stocks (i.e., Strong Buy) in PortfolioGrader Pro are clearly the strongest stocks and are ideal for your pension accounts.  I also recommend many B-graded stocks (i.e., Buy) in PortfolioGrader Pro on the Blue Chip Growth Buy List for investors that want to slow down their portfolio turnover and achieve predominately long-term capital gains (e.g., 15% federal rate) for their taxable accounts.  It’s all about what you feel comfortable doing while staying diversified and following my 60% conservative, 30% moderately aggressive and 10% aggressive stocks.
