Navellier Growth: your source for market-beating growth stocks

Mexico’s America Movil (AMX) is one of the hottest telecom stocks out there right now. At the moment I’m recommending it to both my Emerging Growth and Blue Chip Growth subscribers. That’s right, it’s beating out the likes of big-wig Apple (AAPL), competitor Rogers Communications (RCI) and even last week’s “Stock of the Week” Mosaic (MOS) in the total profits it’s earned my subscribers so far. Sometimes to make money, you have to find a company that’s “in the money.” America Movil is an excellent example of this. The company’s founder, Carlos Slim, just passed Bill Gates on Forbes’ billionaire list. We’ve all seen what Gates managed to do (and is still doing) with his outstanding products. Well Slim is only furthering that trend of growth and prosperity. In fact, during the last five years Slim increased his net worth eight-fold, and is now just steps behind Warren Buffet in becoming the richest man in the world. His ownership of telecoms like America Movil is one of the primary reasons that Slim reached this current standing, and if I know anything about entrepreneurs like Slim, he’s not about the slack off and let his companies or personal wealth falter.

Currently America Movil is the leading telecommunications company of Latin America. Aided by the weak U.S. dollar and an ever present need for new gadgets and updated cellular devices AMX’s subscriber growth rate is also on the rise. With the peso recently hitting a new 2-year high, all I can say about this Mexican stock is that it’s hot, hot, hot!

Louis, As of today's close you are up 448% on AMX. Finishing a close 2nd to AAPL up 486%. I must ask why do you and Jim Cramer both recommend trimming these winners as the go up ? This strategy has cost me thousands of dollars. Going foward I am adding your new buys and holding until you sell them. Trimming drastically lowered the 486% and 448% gains. Dave AMX has been on the Blue Chip Buy List since March 2004.
